letter from the President
Dear friends
and colleagues, brothers and sisters in the Ethnic Press and Media:
As I
explained to all of you in my previous letter, I am looking to receive
from all the members of the council first their full address and second a
small bio (no more than five lines) in order to be placed first in our web
site and secondly to be submitted in the ministry of Consumer and
Commercial Relations. Only half of the members of the new board, done so
until today. According to regulations I have to submit the names with full
address no later than Monday the 4th of May. I would appreciate
if all of you comply with this request.
Second it
has been confirm that the Hon. Michael Ignatieff, the new leader of the
Liberal Party of Canada and leader of the official opposition in the House
of Commons will be with us Monday, May the 11th, 2009 during
our meeting at Queen’s Park, For this reason I asked that everyone of
the members who wants to attend to notify my office of his intentions for
security reasons.
Until today
a handful only of members reply stating that are attending. As Monday is
my last day to send the names, this is my last attempt to remind you of
this very serious matter. ONLY members of the Council and also of the
board of director who notified us would be permitted to attend for any
member failed to notify us of his intentions I would be sorry would not
permitted.
